Seb Szalay is the current Eternal MMA featherweight champion at 145 lb and a PRP Global athlete known for his relentless commitment to being the best. Originally from Perth, Seb began his MMA journey in an unlikely setting, training out the back of Perth personality Tony Galati’s Spudshed, where a gym helped launch what has become a serious professional career.
Seb’s rise has been shaped by an “extra mile” mentality. He spent time learning alongside UFC veteran Soa Palelei and later made one of the boldest moves of his career by relocating across the country to train with UFC legend Alex Volkanovski at Freestyle MMA. That pursuit of elite development has become a defining part of who Seb is as an athlete.
Now back in Perth, Seb trains at Luistro Combat Academy under Romel Luistro, head coach to UFC fighters Cody Haddon and Quillan Salkilld. With a professional record of 10–1, Seb is focused on securing a UFC contract, with the Road to UFC 4 final against Keiichiro Nakamura taking place on February 1 at UFC 325 in Sydney. A win earns him a UFC contract.
Quick stats: Eternal MMA featherweight champion (145 lb); record 10–1; trains at Luistro Combat Academy (Perth).
